Pillowpak Donates Go Bags to Frontline Hospital Workers

Pillowpak Donates Go Bags to Frontline Hospital Workers

March 26, 2020

It’s hard to feel helpless in times of crisis. With stories of PPE shortages popping up around the country and the unimaginable demand this crisis is putting on frontline healthcare workers, we knew we had to do something. This week, Pillowpak donated 30 go bags to frontline workers in New Jersey. Like hospitals around the country, Hunterdon Medical Center is bracing itself for a spike in admissions due to Covid-19 in the coming weeks.

Generous people across the country have been donating much needed PPE supplies in an effort to make up for shortages caused by the quickly spreading pandemic. “We are grateful to community organizations like Pillowpak who have generously donated items to help alleviate the stress and pressure that our staff is experiencing at this time,” said Phil Beekman, Senior Vice President, Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation. Tech giants like Tesla and Apple, along with pop up grassroots organizations like A Million Masks, are stepping up to help and inspiring others to do the same.

When we designed Pillowpak, we didn’t realize how perfectly positioned it was as a go bag for hospital stays and emergencies. The current crisis has highlighted this primary function and we’ve stepped up to answer the call. Not only does Pillowpak allow a healthcare worker to safely bring their own pillow with them when crisis demands they stay at the hospital overnight, but it also offers thoughtfully designed organization pockets and is most importantly, 100% machine washable.

We want to do everything we can to help take some of the burden off hospital staff who are putting themselves and their families at risk. Those who received Pillowpaks can now rest assured that when they return home from their shift, they can safely sanitize everything they’ve brought home with them, including their go bag. These tumultuous times can feel overwhelming; being prepared with a good plan and optimal supplies helps alleviate some of that stress.

If you or anyone you know could benefit from having a hospital go bag at this time, we would like to offer a 20% discount on the purchase of a Pillowpak through the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.

Just visit our online store and use promo code ‘HMC’ at checkout.

In addition, if you’d like to help, there are hundreds more healthcare workers who would benefit immensely from having a Pillowpak. If you would like to donate a go bag, select option ‘Deliver to Hunterdon Medical Center’ and your donation will be delivered free of charge.

We are all in this together and continue to be inspired every day with the humanity being brought forth through this crisis. We wish you and your families continued peace of mind and good health.
